Take a seat. In trying to furnish my new place last year, one of the longest hunts I had was for the perfect kitchen bar stools. Everything seemed to either be too traditional, too contemporary, too chunky, too “insert adjective here.” I eventually settled on some simple French-ish / industrial looking stools that went well with the rest of the kitchen’s finishes. As something that always seems a bit tricky to find, I thought I’d share some of my current favorites spotted on retailers around the web.
Style stars. Bar and counter stools can bring in a dose of bright color, an unusual finish or introduce a new style into your space without committing to higher ticket items like sofas or dining tables. With value priced retailers like Target and World Market to design-driven brands such as Moooi and Anthropologie, there are options to suit any style from Coastal Cool to Transitional Sophistication.
